To try out something new, I thought it’d be fun shoot and edit 60- to 90-second videos to supplement some of my Weekend Recap and review blog posts. I have a little bit of experience in video production (thank you, Visual Communication Technology courses at BGSU), so I decided to look into shooting footage using my iPhone 6 (MoviePro) and editing with iMovie. Nothing extensive, but a fun challenge nonetheless. Considering I haven’t worked on anything video-related in 10 years (back in the days when 250 MB of space was all the rage), this will be a bit of a learning curve, so bear with me. This weekend is one of my favorites in Cincinnati, as it celebrates its rich German heritage, and there was a lot going on to coincide with the country’s largest Oktoberfest celebration.
My weekend (starting on Thursday) included trying out O Pie O and stopping by The Growler House before checking out Thread Cincinnati‘s happy hour at Sundry and Vice; dinner at Cloud 9; running the Hudy 7K before going to Fifty Fest, Pizzelii Brick Oven Pizza, and then a wedding at Highland Country Club; and watching soccer at Rhinehaus before perusing and gorging on goetta balls, potato pancakes, a goetta burger, and beinenstich at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati.
I love weekends in Cincinnati and I’m trying to soak up as much as I can while the weather is still nice. I hope your weekend was just as great as mine!
