Every month Tour de Cincinnati creates a shortlist of notable events around Greater Cincinnati—large festivals, food weeks, entertainment, and ongoing series—to make sure you mark down these dates to keep in mind as you make plans in the coming weeks.

At the beginning of this August, we’re starting to feel a little relief from the extreme heat, which means end-of-summer fun is on the horizon.

From the start of Oktoberfest season to festivals, food, and entertainment, here are several important dates this month of things going on in Cincinnati to get in your calendars now:

August 3–6

Goettafest Newport’s Festival Park
Two-weekend celebration of all things goetta, including live entertainment, family-friendly games and activities, and over 50 goetta-based food creations (from fudge to pizza).

Ohio River Paddlefish Ohio Riverfront
The nation’s largest paddling celebration with 2,000 participants traveling up to 9 miles through downtown Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky in canoes, kayaks, and other human-powered craft. Benefiting Adventure Crew‘s commitment to Outdoors for All.
