Since my first visit, I have been very vocal about the American Sign Museum and how it is my favorite place in Cincinnati. (And I don’t know if you know, but I love Cincinnati.) I made a point to finally become a member in 2018 and I am happy to say that I am once again a member in ’19.
What I am most looking forward to being a member in the coming year is sharing my favorite place with Little Lady. I just know that she will adore all of the lights and sensory in her early months of life. Plus I have to get her started in her love for the Sign Museum early!
The American Sign Museum is the nation’s largest public sign museum, currently showcasing over a century of sign archives in 20,000 square feet of museum space (with the ability to double in size). The museum is located in Camp Washington and features more than 200 signs with hundreds more catalogued and waiting to be curated. It is home to event galas, fundraisers, weddings, live music, food and beer tastings, and so much more.
If you have any passing interest in history, design, typography, or supporting local generally, you have to visit. Time and time and time again. In fact, become a member!
Visits to the museum are only $15 for adults; $10 for seniors (65+), students, and military; and free for ages 12 and under with each paying adult. Pro tip: sign up for a guided tour, which is free with admission and they are excellent! Extremely insightful and informative.
Even better, annual memberships are only $35 and include free admission, two guest passes, 10% off the at the Gift Shop, and a yearly gift with renewal. Most importantly, a membership helps support the museum with their ongoing maintenance, general badassery, and potential expansion into the remaining space.
