After four days of first round voting, the field is now at 32 of Cincinnati’s favorite beers. (For a full recap from round one, please see below.) Voting for the round of 32 will be open for 24 hours.
First Round Recap
The first day of tournament play, the Westside region, was a doozy, with a ton of energy and excitement in the field. After more than 8000 total votes, there were several massive upsets, including 16-, 15-, 14-, 11-, 10-, and 9-seeds upsetting numbers 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8 respectively—perhaps the biggest upsets in March Madness history!
Day two was certainly no slouch either. The OTR region saw over 10,000 votes, including the tournament’s first of several 12/5 upsets, as well as 7 vs. 10 and 3 vs. 14 upsets. There were some very close match-ups and lopsided wins as well.
Not to be outdone, the Eastside region saw four more upsets, including another 5 vs. 12 upset and 13, 14, and 16 seeds surprising their opponents to advance to the second round.
Capping off the first round, the NKY region, gave way to another 1 vs. 16 upset. Other upsets included the 8 vs. 9 and 7 vs. 10 match-ups.
