I love a delicious meal and, even better, an affordable one at an otherwise fancy restaurant. And you don’t have to wait around for Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week to be able to get a nice dinner at a fraction of the cost. Instead, there are several great specials are regularly available around Cincinnati.

It’s not every day people are able to spend special-occasion money on dinner, and these are just some of my favorite ongoing happy hours and dinner deals in Cincinnati—places you can easily make a date night without breaking the bank.

Ivory House Westwood
Steak, Seafood, Cocktail Bar

Happy Hour Bar Menu, including mussels, crab cakes, tomato bruschetta, and miso hummus bites, is available very day they are open from 4:30 to 6p.
Recommendation: Wagyu (or Impossible) Smash Burger and choice of fingerling potatoes or simple greens salad for under $15.

Lisse Steakhuis Covington
Dutch-Inspired Steakhouse

Happy Hour available 4–6p weekdays.
Food and drink specials, including Friets (Dutch fries) with curry ketchup and mayo for $5 (add peanut sauce for $2), and Wagyu sliders (2) for $6. They also have Bitterballen, Frikandel, a vegetable and hummus board, and Dutch meatballs—each for $10 or less.
Tip: If it’s nice out, sit on the rooftop. It is beautiful and has great views of Mainstrasse and Downtown Cincinnati.

Nicola’s Ristorante OTR
Italian

Bolo Night, features spaghetti bolognese and salad for under $20, is every Monday. They also have a vegetarian version with seasonal veggies. Reservations suggested.
Tip: Add on the bread basket if you are able. It is the best bread basket around.

If you are looking for a specific recommendation for a place to check out that better fits your preferences (location, cuisine, price points), all you have to do is ask.

Happy Happy Houring! If you head to one of these spots, be sure to mention @linsinnati on Instagram so I can see (and deliciously live vicariously through you).
