Here are several important dates for local events in September to get in your calendars now:

September 1

Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks and Riverfest
Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove, 12p
Riverfest starts at noon, with local food vendors, live music, and fun activities for the whole family followed by the midwest’s largest fireworks display with music from WEBN (102.7) to accompany the show.

September 5–8

164th Harvest Home Fair
Harvest Home Park (Cheviot)
“The Biggest Little Fair in Ohio” features the Harvest Home Parade on Thursday, rides and attractions, live music, cornhole tournament, art show, flower show, general exhibits, and so much more.

September 6–8

Art & Wine Festival
Vinoklet Winery
Live music, art vendors, food and wine.

September 7

Fall Native Plant Festival
Civic Garden Center, 9a–3p
A day of free educational sessions, live music, food and drinks, kids’ activities, and native plants from local growers (including CGC).

September 7

Mt. Airy TrailFest
Mt. Airy Forest (Oak Ridge Lodge), 11a–4p
Speakers, activities, local vendors, entertainment for children, raffles, music, and local food trucks.

September 8

Bengals Season Opener

September 12

Cincinnati Brews for Brains
Braxton Covington, 6–8p
Beer and bites at Braxton Brewery in support of the Giving Voice Foundation, which provides FREE local programming to support the more than 126,000 people across Greater Cincinnati who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

September 14

Art off the Walls: Sunrise to Starlight

Arts & Culture fundraiser benefiting ArtWorks, Art Off the Walls celebrates ArtWorks’ monumental public masterpieces and the talented artists who make them possible.

September 19–22

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati
New Location: Sawyer Point & Yeatman’s Cove
The nation’s largest Oktoberfest celebration returns to downtown, complete with the world’s largest chicken dance, Running of the Wieners, food, beer, live music and entertainment, and so much more.

LPGA Kroger Queen City Championship 
TPC River’s Bend
Professional golf tournament with onsite fan experiences, including food and drink, activities, challenges, merchandise, and so much more.

September 20

Halloween Haunt Opening Night
Kings Island (Saturdays and Sundays through November 2)
Fully transformed park featuring scare mazes, scare zones, sinister live entertainment, and hundreds of horrifying creatures lurking in the fog, plus some of the most exhilarating night rides in the country. Intended for mature audiences and not recommended for ages under 13.

September 20–22

Mustard Seed Market
Clermont County Fairgrounds
100+ talented makers, locally owned businesses, one of a kind artists, and thoughtfully crafted curators. Additional activities include spring-inspired hayride, Sunflower Planting Patch (plant your own sunflower!), and food trucks.

September 22

Tricks and Treats Opening Day
Kings Island, 10a
Vibrant family-friendly event with fall festivities for all ages, including activities, trick-or-treating, live shows, rides, costume contests, and seasonal food and drinks. Open select days through November 2.

Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week
Nearly 60 participating restaurants
A unique celebration of culinary tourism featuring three-course meals around Greater Cincinnati for $26, $36, and $46. Benefiting Cincinnati Children’s.

September 27–28

Kroger Wellness Festival
New Location: Fifth Street between Main Street and Columbia Parkway
Panels, demonstrations, wellness tips and advice, entertainment, and support from experts in nutrition, fitness, health, and beauty care.
