Pho Lang Thang is one of my favorite restaurants at Findlay Market, not just because it’s so dang good, but because it has longer hours than most vendors. What makes Pho so delicious is its extensive menu that will satisfy all Asian and Vietnamese food lovers alike — choose from a variety of starters, salads, noodle soups, sandwiches, noodle salads, tea, Vietnamese coffee, and other specialty items.

I tend to prefer heavier carbs (see: sandwiches and rice) and therefore order Banh Mi Xa Xiu (Chinese BBQ pork sandwich) every time I go, while BK prefers noodle dishes and gets the Bun Bo Nu’ong (lemongrass grilled beef noodle salad) and adds Cha Gio (pork spring roll) for $1. I absolutely love Banh Mi and have a hard time straying from that for an entree, but am happy to try starters, some of which have been Goi Cuon (both vegan and standard salad rolls) and Cha Gio (pork spring roll). They’ve all been very good, but the spring rolls are probably my favorite. And I absolutely love the peanut hoisin sauce that comes on the side of the salad rolls. I consider many menu items at Pho to be healthy and love to eat here when I’m trying to be good.
Visit idea: When you go to Findlay Market — Ohio’s oldest continuously-operated market — to shop all the unique vendors, I suggest grabbing a beer or glass of wine at Market Wines, having lunch [outside if it’s nice!] at Pho, then finishing with dessert from Dojo Gelato before taking the streetcar back downtown for your next adventure. Other dessert ideas: Maverick Chocolate, Donna’s Gourmet Cookies, or OTR Candy Bar, all located at the market. View the complete merchant list here.
Hours: Monday–Sunday, 11am–9:30pm
Note: Pho delivers and caters, too, and has outdoor seating in warmer months.
