After four days of first round voting, the field is now at 32 of Cincinnati’s favorite beers. (For a full recap from round one, please see below.) Different from the first round, voting for the round of 32 will be open for two days. This will allow more time for those to vote for all 16 match-ups. Also starting in the second round, voting will not be unlimited, so be sure to share and make your votes count!
Update: Voting for this region is now closed. Results will be posted on Facebook soon!
First Round Recap
The first day of tournament play, the Westside region, was a good one — lots of energy and excitement in the field. After more than 6000 total votes, there were two upsets, including the tournament’s first 5/12 upset; some close match-ups; and a couple of statement wins.
Day two was no slouch. The OTR region saw 1 vs. 16 and 2 vs. 15 upsets — perhaps the biggest upsets in March Madness history. There were some very close match-ups and lopsided wins as well.
Not to be outdone, the Eastside region saw three upsets, including an 8 vs. 9 upset separated by one vote (!!!), and another 5 vs. 12 upset — the second so far in this tournament.
Capping off the first round, day four, the NKY region, gave way to another 1 vs. 16 and 2 vs. 15 upset — seriously, we’re making history here. Other upsets included the 8 vs. 9, 4 vs. 13, 6 vs. 11, and 3 vs. 14 match-ups. That’s six upsets out of eight total bouts!
Thanks for a great first week. I’m excited to see which of these 32 beers will advance to the Sweet 16!
