I’ve been doing some thinking about This Week in Awesome and I love summarizing what I do each week. From parks and free events, to restaurants, happy hours, and museums, I feel TWIA is a great way to share how I spend my time and to hopefully give ideas for how others can do the same.
That said, I think this recurring series needs a bit of a pick-me-up. I want to try something new. I want it to not just be informative and fun, I want it to be useful. Instead of merely writing about highlights and posting photos from how I spent my week, I’ve decided to start sharing events and goings-on around town as a way to give ideas for what you can do in the week to come. That way I’m not just sharing things after they happen.
My week included such wonderful things as a couple of trips to The Growler House, watching the Crosstown Shootout at Taste of Belgium – Clifton before seeing Dashboard Confessional at Bogart’s, breakfast from Sunny Deli, lunch at Bagel Stop, Cincinnati Refined‘s happy hour at Prime, dinner and a beer at Gomez Salsa, a flight from The Woodburn, Frank’s first gallery opening at Your Friends and Neighbors, some fun at Washington Park Dog Park, UpSpring‘s Sip & Support fundraiser at Blank Slate, and a trip to Jungle Jim’s that culminated with my first tryst with Red Sesame’s brick and mortar location.
