Duke Energy Convention Center
The nation’s second-longest-running charitable wine festival, featuring hundreds of wines and Grand Tastings on Saturday and Sunday. The Wine Festival raises funds and distributes grants to arts, education, and health and human services charities in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, while promoting the wine industry.

Most catholic churches serve some sort of Fish Fry fare on Fridays for the Lenten season, but I want to focus on the non-traditional Fish Fry—including places that host more standard Fish Fry events as well as restaurants serving up fried fish dishes on Fridays and even throughout the Lenten season. The Root Beer Stand, 11a
Another sure sign of spring is this local institution opening for the season—its 67th in business. The Root Beer Stand purveys footlong cheese coneys, cheeseburgers, homemade root beer, and more, and also features a playground, which makes it a family favorite. You can also get your food to go and have a picnic at nearby Sharon Woods.

Penguin Days
Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

It must be colder than 50 degrees for the penguins to participate in the Penguin Parades. This is the final year for Penguin Parades before the Zoo’s aging king penguins retire.
