Most of you have probably heard about this by now, but in case you missed it: Podopolis—Cincinnati’s newest, realist podcast powered by Cincinnati Magazine—is here.

If you liked the podcast I was on in January, you’re in luck! We have teamed back up to bring you “a very Porkopolis podcast hosted by two very Cincinnati people.”

My co-host, Justin Williams, is also a lifelong Cincinnatian and he currently serves as Senior Editor at Cincinnati Magazine. He attended the Ohio University and he has had work published in The New York Times, Grantland, The Ringer, and Cleveland Magazine. Being from the westside, we have some geography in common. We both also attended MAC schools, which may or may not lead to some MACtion talk on future episodes. (At the very least we’ll talk about drinking because that’s what each of our schools is known for.)

In our first few episodes, we have discussed the westside, why Midwesterners say “ope,” local sports and politics (so a lot of FC Cincinnati), Kings Island nostalgia and why LaRosa’s is so dang good there, getting wedgies at Surf Cincinnati, eating like a six-year-old (see: the proper way to make PBJ and grilled cheese), and a whole lot about beer. You can expect “a Cincinnati podcast that keeps it real, fueled by love for the city.”*

Episodes will air every other week and Podopolis can be found wherever you listen to podcasts. Click here to listen and subscribe! Podopolis is also on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

You might be asking how this will affect Tour de Cincinnati. It shouldn’t. I’d been hoping to scale down on blog posts for a little while now, but intend to keep writing and sharing regularly—This Weekend every Thursday as well as supplemental articles and reviews along with those. It is reasonable to expect at least one, but likely two new articles every week. You can also find Tour de Cincinnati on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to continue following along with all the Queen City goodness.

*That is a real review on iTunes. If you love Podopolis, give us a 5-star rating!
