I wanted to keep this past workweek relatively low key, but I did have the opportunity to celebrate Cincinnati Pizza Week at both Lucy Blue Pizza and Pi Pizzeria during lunch on two [separate] occasions. Additionally, I went to Trivia Night at The Growler House and had lunch at Frisch’s on Friday (after this post I just had to have a grilled cheese).

Yelp’s Baked and Brewed Closing Party was also this past week at Urban Artifact, which featured donuts and goods from Bard’s Burgers, BonBonerie, Buona Terra, Donna’s Gourmet Cookies, Holtman’s Donuts, Keystone, Press on Monmouth, Servatii, Tom + Chee, and Top This Donut Bar; plus donut beers brewed by Braxton, Ei8ht Ball, Fibonacci, Listermann, Moerlein, and Urban Artifact. While all of the beers were good, Listermann’s Lateral Gone Nuts oatmeal stout aged in bourbon barrels and brewed with Holtman’s chocolate and toasted coconut donuts took first place. (Read more about the beer list here.)

For happy hour on Friday, BK and I each got a beer and hung out for a bit at The Video Archive before driving a little north to buy a six pack from The Root Cellar to take with us to Delhi Palace in Silverton, my favorite Indian restaurant that is also BYOB.
Saturday included a trip to Washington Park with Franklin so he could spend time at the dog park, and walking north a half mile to Findlay Market so that we could help celebrate Pet Wants’ dog food drive, which culminated with donating 4000 lbs of fresh dog food to the Stray Animal Adoption Program (SAAP), the organization from where we adopted Franklin. In the evening, we stopped by Arnold’s and Rhinehaus for a beer as we waited for my brother and sister-in-law to meet us to go out to dinner. The four of us had a beer at The Lackman while waiting for our table at Pontiac, then got a donut from Holtman’s for dessert, and finished the night at Rhinehaus.

Sunday we spent a lot of time doing a whole lot of nothing, which was fantastic. We did, however, have our monthiversary meal since our actual monthiversary is on Election Night and we have no intention to leave the house. (More on this later.)
What a great seven days it’s been I hope you all had as fun of a week as I had. Have a great week, everyone!
