Last Monday was my first trip to Cintas Center this season to see Xavier’s men’s basketball team. But it wouldn’t have been a complete home game experience without first having Renegade Street Eats and a beer at Listermann, followed by another beer from D’Artagnan’s Deck, the craft beer bar inside the arena (and two sections from our seats). The workweek also featured the 14th Pizzannati stop at LPH Pizza Co., a trip on the streetcar, picking up food for Franklin at Pet Wants, another trip to Listermann for Trivia & Treats, featuring a pop-up Pet Wants shop and a burlap tote of goods as a result of coming in second (not a bad showing for BK and me), and lunch from Newport Pizza Co.
Friday was probably the last warm day of the year, so we had a happy hour beer on Neons’ patio followed by turtles and beer from Gomez Salsa 2.0 in Walnut Hills*, plus a flight at Blank Slate; caffeinated goods from Coffee Emporium and breakfast sandwiches from Eckerlin Meats at Findlay Market; a stop by Your Friends and Neighbors, a new handmade goods shop in East Walnut Hills; the Die Innenstadt members-only party at Mecklenburg Gardens, where we drank good beer, ate a German buffet, and where I got this sweet new Cincinnati Soccer Talk hoodie and got to catch up with friends we made during this past FC Cincinnati season; then my brother-in-law’s birthday celebration at Rhinegeist. We finished the weekend with a Bengals tailgate at Longworth Hall and dinner at Tacqueria Mercado.
