For those of you who do not follow me on Instagram or listen to Podopolis, you’ve likely missed some recent newsYou also may have noticed that content has been few and far between in the past couple of months. A trip in May followed by extreme fatigue and wildly limited energy are the leading culprits behind the scarce posts.

My husband and I (and Franklin, of course) are thrilled about our news; overwhelmed, anxious, and excited (as to be expected when you’re expecting). As we navigate this new adventure, it is extremely important to me that I shift my focus to my growing family. I want to enjoy every step of this journey with my husband especially, and I want to be present for myself and my family with minimal outside distractions.

Thus, Tour de Cincinnati will be going on hiatus indefinitely.

A lot of my free time is required to upkeep Tour de Cincinnati—free time partnered with required energy that is hard to come by these days. I am proud that TDC has been a one-person show since 2013, so with my focus on caring for myself, the woman behind the website I love so much will be taking a much needed break.

For years I have made a habit of spreading myself too thin. There is no better time than now to take a step back.

At this point, I am unsure of what this means for Tour de Cincinnati for the future. In the meantime, thank you all so, so much for reading and for all of your support. Take care and keep exploring this beautiful city. I will remain active on Instagram, so be sure to follow along there. You can also hear me every other week on Podopolis.

Cheers! (Seriously, have one for me.)
